Great idea, they should at least have an opportunity to address such issues. I've only ordered from them once with no issues. It's a shame to see yet another vendor that I would be very reluctant to buy from again. But I'm very glad to see such warnings posted.
Thanks for advising the rest of us,
Richard

I live about 45 min away from them and called to see if they had a Breathless air intake in stock because I wanted to put one on the C6 before the drive to KY. They said they had ONE so I drove out there, paid, drove over to the warehouse across the street and waited 15 min while they looked around. Came back and told me they had none, they would drop ship it and send it to me. I told them to just refund my money only because of what I hear about mail ordering from them.

I can say that they did give me a 10% discount since I purchased a few more items at the same time, and they did refund my money no problem. Haven't had any BAD experiences with them, but I wasn't exactly thrilled about wasting a few hours of the day either.

Well I need to get a few parts for my vette...was going to get them from ecklers...but having serious second thoughts now.

As a forum member above said: "EVERY customer deserves to be treated with courteous respect Not getting back to a customer tells me that Ecklers just doesn't care.....If they don't....why should we. "
I totally agree.

If Im going to spend my hard earned money (or my boyfriends hard earned money!) then I would like to be treated with respect. Im not made of money.

Now I just have to find another parts vendor. Who do you all recommend? Paragon? Mid America? Zip?

I went on the web to purchase a simple black license plate frame. In the catalog it was listed at $21.99. Online I paid $30+. I thought, oh well, they went up on their price. When I got the next catalog it was $21.99.

Not enough to call the company and complain, but enough to keep me from purchasing from them again.

I'm in sales and if I had this many negs I would be out of a job, if they were even close to being half way decent, you would only hear about one or two complaints, BAD NEWS for them, never ordered from them and never will now, you got to take care of business or it gets around, they must have some real problems there..

I've not used Eckler's for years, since a C-3 I had and my current C4. I was always happy with them but for some reason I lean towards Dr. Rebuild and LIC with my C2.

I do however feel your pain, I have often had the same service with many company's these days. Everybody tout's service but they don't seem to provide it when the chips are down.

Contrast Ecklers customer support with a company such as GHL's and its a no brainer. Ecklers gets no money from me....

EXACTLY Brian and Jeff sent me an entire new set of clamps UPS next day FOR FREE because one has broken. These were put on 37,000 miles ago Don't ya think GHL understands Customer Service And that's why many of us RAVE about them. Great product, GREAT people = GOOD Business Like Sal Zaino, Ken King @ Vette Essentials....they all seem to understand the results of taking care of business/customers.

It's amazing how retainers seem to have the talent and capabilites to screw over some customers and bend over backwards for others.

I remember just last year, I needed some tires really bad for my Vette. The 2 front tires were bald 'they literally looked like ballons" and I had a nail in one of the rears, what luck huh??? The local GY shop told me the Supercar tires were on back order. I called Eckler's and told them I needed tires like yesterday. The lady (can't remember her name) told me it was a 3-4 day turn around, but they'll do what they can. The next afternoon UPS dropped 4 brand new tires off at my door. Eckler's didn't even charge me any over night shipping.

I'm not defending or blasting Eckler's, but it does seem that they could be alittle more consistant. But on the other hand, I do feel that any business should be granted a certain margine of error. Funny, we very well know that all us humans aren't perfect, but we want other people to treat us perfectly.

This is getting to be like that whole onlinetire "fiasco". That $hit dragged out for weeks and ended up with forum members insulting and bashing each other. I hope this doesn't get that far. Have a good night people.

I will never order from Eckler's again. I only placed one order and finally recieved it after multiple phone calls and no call backs from them, luckily I did get someone on the phone eventually.

But I must say it still isnt as bad as Dell computer's customer service.
