Default Embroidery on seat unraveling

The "Corvette" embroidery on the back of my drivers seat (02 Coupe) is starting to unravel. Have any of you experienced this and if so, what did you do to stop it? My wife suggested a tiny drop of clear fingernail polish but I'm not sure I want to do this. Help!!!

Well, it's a total loss. Off to the crusher for this one...

Try a sewing store. They have a product to stop snags and loose threads, I don't know the name of it. good luck!

Don't have that problem. May be worth it to just check with an upholster to get an opinion. On second thought Call Ken at Vette Essentials. I'm betting he'll give you some good advice......

Snip off the ding dangys. I had it too. The clear nail polish thing sounds good.

Thanks, I was wondering if this was a very common problem or not.

Typical problem and clear nail polish is the quick fix. Listen to the wife, they know about things like this.

Clear nail polish or Duco cement. Snip and glue.

Upholstery guy that did the seats for my C3 say the stray threads (frizzies) on my C5 seat and suggest waving a lighter (quickly) back and forth accross it and it worked like a charm. Although they'll probably come back so maybe nail polish or something else may be a semi-permanent fix.

. If the thread is long, cut it carefully with sharp scissors so you don't pull on it. Then quickly wave a lighter over the spot and that will stop it.
