While cleaning my vette's engine bay the other day I cound't help but notice how dull the hoodliner was looking (literally). Would it be a good idea to hit it w/ a coat or two of some rustoleum satin black. I just want to give it a cleaner, darker apearence, but I'm not sure if the rustoleum would hold up. Has anyone done this before??? Advice is needed. Thanks

I wash mine from time-to-time; spray it down with Simple Green and rinse... rinse... rinse... then leave the hood up over night. Takes its time to drain all the water out. Looks like new afterward.

If you can get all the dust off, you can then paint it with a good spray paint. It will probably take several coats, but should look very good when done.
