Default Diablo Predator Tuner - Dynatech Headers

Went up to Bloomington Gold this past week. Had a great time. Met a lot of Corvette owners, saw some awesome cars.

Had a chance to install three Predators on 99-02 C5 models and man is this a great tool. It literally takes ten minutes to install and it doubles as a diagnostic tool as well. The C5 has onboard diagnostics, but you can get a cable to use with the predator and use the monitoring feature with a laptop while driving the vehicle. I haven't gotten a chance to do this yet, but I'm looking for an opportunity.

I have'nt heard, but I've read that the Diablo Sport increases the HP by appx. 15 to 20. Changes the fuel / air mixture, shift points. I installed it on an 04 Silverado with the 5.3 liter and it made a distinct difference.

Anyway, if anybody is interested, I've got 16 more of these brand new in the box from Diablo Sport. I'll make you a great deal. Call me or PM me for the price. Retail price is $399 on my website. http://flashtuners.com I'm listed as a supporting vendor with http://headersystems.com. I've also got a killer deal going on Dynatech Heades too if anybody is interested. PM me on this as well.

We're also giving away a FREE Dynatech Supermaxx system on August 31st, so make sure that you register.

What does using the monitoring feature with a laptop do for the GM Predator user?

Default live monitoring log

The only flash tuner that logs live data. Play back log on Predator or PC (Log Viewer for Windows is available FREE at www.diablosport.com)
1. Simple Installation: Plug the Predator into the OBD-II diagnostic port. 2. Follow the on-screen instructions, select preferred tuning parameters. 3. Enjoy!

I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I'm getting a setup for my laptop to use this feature on my 04 silverado. It's the same setup as the corvette. If you'll got to www.diablosport.com and read their FAQ, there are lots of answers and information there about this feature.

" What is the PC Interface Kit?
PC Interface Kit allows you to connect your Predator to your PC. This is necessary if you want to:

* Update Predator software revision
Revisions are available to download from the Download page.
* Export your Current Tune from predator to your PC
This is needed if you want a Custom Tune to be created for your vehicle.
* Upload Custom Tunes into the Predator
Custom Tunes are available from your DiabloSport dealer.
* Ford vehicles only: Export the Live Data Log from the Predator to PC in order to be viewed using our free Windows DAT Viewer
* Ford vehicles only]: Stream the Live Data while driving from the Predator to laptop in order to be viewed using our free Windows DAT Viewer.
If you have a Ford, it will log. But the Predator for GM products does not and the software you point to does not allow it to log for GM products either.

I still have in my possession, and used to use, the GM Predator. The GM Predator does not "log" anything. It will scan in real time, but it won't even "log" the time of day. About the only advantaged to hooking it to a PC is to upload custom e mailed tunes. The GM Predator has no logging capabilities.
