They told me @ the C4 G/D site that I have made a mistake, but my
96 Polo Green Coupe has morphed into a 00 C5.
Initial impression, access in and out is much better, no rattles,
ergonomics are much improved, and she goes like stink.
What do I look for in the way of traps or problems that would be
different from my C4. Anything that I should check immediately?
Lots of great info in the post the Grumpster attached. You can also check out this site for historic perspective on the Corvette and other interesting details:
we had a torch red c4 coupe; now have a sebring silver 00 coupe. we find the c5 to be a better car in every way. not that the c4 was in any way a bad car but the c5 has so many improvements (on demand power, access, & more). happy cruising. bub
It's the same thing here when people upgrade (lack of a better term so forgive me) to a C6 from a C5. Most people don't like change and stay with what is proven and comfortable. If it is a Corvette it is a great car no matter the generation.
