I removed my BSM's a couple of months ago. My wife freaked out when she came into the garage at 1:00am and saw me sawing away with some fishing line on the drivers door......

I was afraid to take them off my 98, but I went ahead anyway last summer. After I had enough of the BSM pulled off to get a grip, I just just ripped them off the rest of the way. After using the goo-gone and waxing, I think the entire process took less than an hour.
