I had my BSM's removed a few months ago, and love the new look. It's much easier to wax now as well.
What spoiler are you having installed?

I was afraid to take them off my 98, but I went ahead anyway last summer. After I had enough of the BSM pulled off to get a grip, I just just ripped them off the rest of the way. After using the goo-gone and waxing, I think the entire process took less than an hour.
