Well, I'm hanging with the NY/NJ Gang for the rest of the driving season and I'll be at Carlisle, PA in August and definitely at CI VII next year
So hopefully we'll hook up sometime and you can hear the lopity lope for yourself

More pix as promised...
Monster is contained and lined up. Oil pump and LS2 timing chain installed.
Pix from the top
The ba$tard steering rack. It was a MAJOR PITA to come out because one of the lines was seized and would not budge.. even broke out the torch on it - no go... had to remove it with lines intact...
Thunder Racing high volume blueprinted and ported oil pump
The monster next to the puny stock cam

And it wouldn't be EG if I didn't do MORE mods while doing a major mod (what a surprise)
So.... I decided to do dual cold air mods. Yes! Not 1 but 2..!!
First the usual cold air mod with a twist.
Stock
Stock
Cold air but from the TOP
Another view - TOP cut out
So why cut out the TOP and not just drill holes like everyone else (or pay $90 for new pre-drilled screens)??? Because I do NOT want it to show from the front. Even a detailed inspection will look stock. And again, why??? Because I will NOT be adding Z06 screens (think they are fugly - personal opinion) so the usual holes would show up big time. But by cutting the top, I get the same effect without the perforated look.
And the 2nd cold air mod...
Added cold air for the Blackwing. Screens to be added tomorrow
I will buy some Stainless Steel mesh, paint it black and cover the opening to keep out gunk. Very pleased with how they came out so far. Looking forward to completing this mod tomorrow.

Nice cam choice. I have the G5X3 on the 114 LSA. You hear it, but you don't feel it as much as the 112. With a good tune, your cam will make great power yet maintain very good street characteristics.
I might have to drop by and pay you a visit sometime to listen to that bad boy on my way back from dropping my son off at the USCGA.

One of the thing I really admire about you, Chris, Max, Steve and the other FL Leghumpers is you guys do all your own work.
Anyone can write a big check, drop their car off at a tuner and claim "they did X or Y mods". No disrespect meant to those that do that but I guess I see things a little differently - I like doing it myself (with the able help of my friends).
So when I say "I designed and installed my stereo" or "I installed my cam" - I can rightly feel proud of the works of my hands and heart.
So hats off to you guys, Brian - the Fl Leghumpers are the next Corvette generation and you guys are kicking a$$ and taking names. Keep up the good works.

...but they are good...and they are having fun too
...incidentally...you gotta have money or you gotta have time...
Both sound like a luxury to me...

I saw ONE Corvette in the UK.....it was a C6 in a dealership. I was surprised to find it was a left hand drive. I saw tons of SL55's everywhere in Europe. They were like Honda Accords here in the US. There were lots of Astons (expected) and one really sweet BMW (see pics below). It was a street legal 4 wheel motorcycle. I wish I took some better shots of it. Right after I got back from Europe I purchased a new DSLR. I just wasn't happy with the quality of a P&S. EG, sorry to hijack the thread.
