Well, I have had my 2000 coupe for about a month now...1st vette ...had a car come up beside me on I65 south just before Nashville this afternoon and challenge me...well after the traffic cleared I figured that I would give it a run...I had never seen this car before, but I thought that it had Honda s2000 on the side, so he passed me up while I was behind a row of cars...he was about a 1/4 mile ahead of me when I had some daylight on the inside, a few seconds later, I was past him..his car jumped so it appeared to have some torque, but I left it behind...as traffic slowed up I got a better look at it....now a Honda is still just that...a Honda...this was a little sleeker looking, but not very impressive when the horses were needed. I checked it out online and the specs were weak... :o http://automobiles.honda.com/models/...odelName=S2000
So I had some fun for the first time...heartrate was up, but still not the challenge that I wanted...better than the Mustangs that always want to rev their V6s at the red lights though.... Maybe because it was on the partially open highway..
I sure hope you blew him away only around 240 HP in that S2000. I had one before the Vette and while a very nice handling nice car it is light on the HP and has no guts below 5000 RPMs.The early versions redlined at 9000 RPM's. When I first got it, it took a while before I could let it run up to 9000 RPM's, my ears keep telling me it was going to blow up. When I got the vette and shifted manually I kept hitting the rev limiter for a while.

anyway, I thought that I would share....
Actually, for an In-Line 4-Cylinder the S2K is a strong running, high revving little Roadster. IMHO, a fine looking Sports Car for the price, $33K. RonH, you are correct, the S2K needs to be in the high rpm range for any real power.
Below, is a Pic of my wife's '04 S2K beside my '01 C5 Coupe.
instead of running these joker imports(s2k,350z)just pull along side and ask them "does that car come in mens?" --this works much better when there's a good looking girl as a passenger

I'd love for you to say that to me at a light.
BTW, you sure are cocky for someone in the Air Force.
