just wonderin if there are any others from the Tampa Bay area here and have any of you had any experiences with The Corvette Shop and Supplies in Tampa? are they reputible?and also who do you think the best dealership is in the area.thanks!!!

I used to go in to their showroom, and they always acted like jerk-offs -- like they were "put out" that I was in their showroom. Their cars always seemed overpriced. Their service dept. got into some trouble in the late 80's for using cheaper used parts instead of new GM parts. Customers were charged for new replacements though. They got caught and it was in the Tribune. I doubt they're doing that now. I still would not use them if I were still in Tampa. I always used Classic Corvettes -- the owner is named Lenny. His shop is behind a Shell station at Dale Mabry and Osborne, I believe. Just north of the Mercedes dealer. He was a little pricey, but he always showed me the old parts off of my car and always used genuine GM parts in his repairs. I also got a good deal on some wheels and tires from him about 10 yr ago.

I just had them fix my car...did a pretty damn good job. Charged quite a bit, but took care of me too. In terms of new cars, they really are high in price, but then again I think I'd trust them to be good in quality.

Just took my vette to corvette shop & supplies.

Never had any complaints, they are nice people to me.

I hear hit and miss with corvette shoppe and supplies. For sure I would never buy a car from them as I have heard many are rebuilt.
