I painted my own before I knew about the decal. Looks good in the pictures. Post some pics and let us know how it works out.

I painted mine too. It only took me one weekend and many, many coats. Cost me less than 10 bucks.

I painted mine with Testors paint. If you do your own get ready to have the liner on your dinning room table for two weeks . It took close to 40 coats of paint before the liner quit soaking up paint. I sealed it with clear nail polish before and hair spray after. Clear coat will brn the paint and make it disolve. mine looks great will post photos.

mitch.smith, did you spray paint the liner first with flat black? I did that to mine and it only took about 6 coats for the Testers paint to look good. Then I hit it with high temp clear coat to seal it.

It's pretty easy. Instructions come with it. Most important, take your time. Took me about an hour with the liner on a table.

So far the emblem has been just fine, no problems. The chrome buttons holding the liner, took me longer to make.

allegro - my daughter's 19...and taking art in college...but I recently got stupid (in her eyes) and wouldn't be able to get her to paint mine. Wanna trade daughters for a week or so? Mine's a tall blonde too.

Looks really good. I'm assuming that she painted the entire liner black first.

Does it stick well? Some C6 forum members are saying its going to melt in the engine compartment & catch fire, bla bla bla.

Thank You all for your helpful input.
