Tom,

Definitely call this guy. I had to ship a bumper cover across the country and the cheapest I could find was about the same as what your rate was.

I called this forum member and had it shipped for just over 90 bucks (as long as it went to a business)

Was on time, done right....

bump

yea I am the one trying to ship this hood. So far the cheapest quote I have received is $240.58 (Roadway) and that is just to ship. ABF was $258. Waiting on UPS to get back to me (had to call the "special guy" ) FedEx Freight did not want to touch it but I will call another person there.

When Jim Hall shipped this hood a couple years ago it was $150, but now that gas prices have surged so much, it is much more $$$.

Still working those porces were jsut to ship. I have to wrap this puppy up with a ton of bubble wrap or crate it. Jsut boxing it up with bb wrap is going to cost about $100 from UPS.

GRAYHOUND! costs under $65 they have a parcel shipping service. you have to drop it off and pick it up from the station, but they are dirt cheap.

Gentlemen....

UPS won't take it, it's too big. Don't use DHL (not mentioned) because they'll hack it up and feed it to you when they deliver it. FedEx will do about the same.

We use a company called BaxGlobal. www.baxglobal.com

They will get it to you in a timely manner for the best price, no damage.

Yea this hood shipped Bax last time. However, the last time it was shipped by Bax it got damaged and they did not seem to care at all. UPS might be easier in terms of insurance. Hmmmm

it was $150 about 2+ years ago to ship using Bax. One of my hood came through clean and the other damaged.

Bax damaged 2 or 3 hoods out of about 80 that I shipped at the beginning of the year and they paid me for full hoods on all of them.

UPS will not take it. It is too big.
