Wow, those you have are BADD ***!!
but I bet a lot of money... I like quality, but I don't want to spend a bunch of money.. perhaps in the future I can buy a nice vinyl one with EB inlay and a nice C5 emblem... but for now.. I just want function... does the one from Ecklers perform as promised? Does it at least fit well and drown out noise like it says?
Does anyone have one from Ecklers? that can provide a first hand experience?

Just received mine from Ecklers today.
The fit is pretty good. It's snug and I don't expect it to move around anywhere. There is a small gap on either side at the top that the partition didn't cover right above the wheel well.
The finish would've been nicer if they would have put carpet on all sides. As it is, one side is grey foam while the edges and the other side are covered in a carpet like material.
Sorry, I haven't driven the car with it to give you any feedback on whether or not it drowns out the noise. I have LGM LT's so I will definitely have feedback for you once I take it for a spin.

Awesome, thanks... possible to take somep pics of it installed? to see what it really looks like? e-mail em or post em!? Thanks!!
as for the back being foam, kind of a bummer, but I imagine a trip to the fabric store and some hot glue could change that... who looks in their trunk anyway!!

I believe those are at least twice the cost. I bought mine (similar to the one from Eckler's) from Zip. Fits well, and noise is somewhat reduced. I think they will all reduce noise by the same amount, so you are just paying the extra $$$ for cosmetics.
I got mine when Zip had a sale through the Forum store for $79, and I'm happy with its quality and fit.
Pick one up used in the for sale section.
I got one for $75 plus shipping. It's carpeted on both sides, looks good,
and fits nice. I didn't notice any reduction in sound around town.
I haven't had it on the highway yet.
Save some money and get the carpeted Ecklers one. I have it and to be honost all those $200+ ones look tacky. These are simple black carpet and you can get the Corvette word in red embriodery. Looks the cleanest and best IMO. Also, its the lightest, and reduces cabin noise significantly. The price is $99 plus shipping. Here is a pic of mine..

do they make one with carpet on both sides? or is it just that one, with the foam in the back?

I've had one of the Ecklers partitions in for a year now and love it. I got one with the carpet on one side with the Z06 logo. It works well, keeps things quiet and as far as quality is concerned it fits great and still looks brand new.
I reccomend them highly unless you want something ultra fancy/ultra expensive with leather or something.
Just don't let somebody with a more expensive one for sale try and tell you that the Ecklers partiton is junk...that is just not true.
The one from Eckler's looks pretty nice. Just ordered the one with carpet/logo for my frc. Looking forward to receiving it! Hopefully it will not take too long to get here.
I have one from Ecklers for the convertible. It looks good. Seems to be a quality product. Has one downfall, the foam absorbs a lot of the sound from the rear speakers. It really needs a hard panel on the side facing forward to reflect the rear speaker sounds.

cool, that is what I was looking for.. as long as I didn't get a bunch of people with them saying they are junk, ... I am sure there are better ones out there.. but it seems pretty good... so I will get it...
I have the $99 Ecklers and like it. Seems to cut a lot of the exhaust and road noise. As a side benefit the stereo sounds better and the AC cools faster.
This is a good pruduct that works as claimed. It's not claimed to be the BEST what ever that is.
Buy which one suits your needs, tastes and budget.

Todd,
Hope the pix helped.
Well, the partition has definitely quieted the muffler noise down some. I hear more road noise coming from the rear wheels now over the exhaust noise and I have some very quiet tires on. I can still hear my LT's/Borlas if I want to though.
My next step is to stuff some batting up in the rear wheel wells as Evil Twin did. Should quiet it down enough and be just the way I want it.
Was the partition worth the $100? Absolutely! I'm pleased with the results and would do it again in a heartbeat.
