Default Difference between 00 and 01 rims??

I need to know if the rims I bought are from a 2000 or a 2001. These are the labels inside both:

Any idea? I need to know because it turns out that 2000 and 2001 use different tire sensors

thanks in advance

2000 and 2001 do use different tire sensors, but both wheels will except either tire sensor. Did you get tire sensors? If so, what do they look like. I can tell you which ones you have.

You've got 2 things to check out:
1. Will pressure sensors fit wheels for both years or not?
2. Will the pressure sensors be electronically compatible and work with the model year C5 you have?

I have the tire sensors from my wagon wheels. All of OEM wheels will accept either sensor and the car will only accept the sensor made for its year.

They will work just fine any OEM C5 rim. You're good to go. You will need new o-rings though. If possible, keep track of which sensor came off which rim. It will save you from having to relearn the locations on the computer. It's not a huge deal in any case.

How can I tell what year rims these are from the rim details in the pictures?

You can't reuse the o-rings...well, I guess you could, but you would risk a leak.

As for the year of the wheels, no clue how to tell.

I just found this ebay auction for 2000 polished wheels. He has a # that matches yours. Not sure if that means yours are 2000 rims, but it sounds like it's a safe bet.

I'm pretty sure that your wheels are 2000 wheels with a part number of 9593797.

My parts manual shows that 2000 wheels are 9593798 though!!!! The part numbers for the 2001-2004 wheels are no where CLOSE to the number on the back of your wheels.

I'm guessing that my parts manual has a misprint.

Tom wouldn't there be two numbers? One for the front and one for the rear.

Yes. The 9593798 is the front 17x8.5 wheel

My manual says 9593800 is the rear 18x9.5 wheel.

My wild *** guess is that his wheels are very early 2000 wheels because my manual shows no wheel part number closer than what I'v given you.

I just looked at pictures of some early 2000 forged rims that I recently sold to a forum member. Numbers are an exact match for yours.
