Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the "purple" of the pace car was actually termed Radar Blue. What is the actual color name for the pace car?
on the build sheet it says: RADAR BLUE
on the window sticker it says: PACE CAR PURPLE
What's even more confusing is a few that have taken the decals off
the 98' Pace Cars and throw on some 2000-2004 chrome wheels. There
is one around here that has done just that.
Here are a couple of photos of our purple '98 roadster. One is a shot of it on the Oregon coast and the other is from our trip back to Bowling Green for the 50th when we ran into an "almost" twin.
Today at Six Flags in IL I parked next to a 1997-2000 Vertte that was Purple, white top, black interior. The owner also put some chrome Z06 wheels on it and it had some good looking round 4 tip exhaust, did not see what kind. It was a sharp exterior color, just not one I have seen before. Very dark purple, almost looked black. Is this a rare factory color or did someone paint it this way?
how was fright fest?
and a newbie question: how do you tell visiually that its the 97-00

It was way too crowded for my tastes, but the park was done up very well. A lot of really cool things to look at
Visually there is not a lot that you can tell on them. The biggest give away is whether or not there is a key hole on the passenger side door. If there is a key hole, then it must be older than 2000

Also, if it has the factory wagon wheels it's a '97 -'99.
plus, medium purple pearl was a '98 only color (so was Radar Blue)
