Default The Grond Chronicles : ECS & Kicking it Up a Notch

Just got the word from Chris at East Coast Supercharging :
Grond is going under the ECS knife on Monday November 14th !!!!

Completely new drivetrain is being installed : New full race A4 transmission, SS3600 stall, 3.90:1 race gears, hardened shaft, trans brace and some other very choice goodies.

After Doug and Chris of ECS work their magic, Grond will be kicking the performance up a notch....

I'm still playing catch up, Dave. I've only had Grond for a year so I have a very long way to go to even begin to equate to the Masters. I will give you just a few examples...

GB Vette - I have still not seen, to this day, any other Corvette of any generation with so many numerous and subtle modifications. Gary stands alone.

Then there are folks like Scottfx, Eatrice and yourself with killer stereos.

Spdkilz with his LEDs and many other cool mods.

Billy182 with his outrageous 763rwhp 427ci vert

VetteThret and ALLKAR with their "lower than a snake's belly" Z06s

Z06-JIM and his true flames paint

And so many others. Going to Cruise In 6, Carlisle and on numerous meets just makes me want to mod more and more stuff.

I thank you all for the inspiration. I am merely following in the footsteps of those that went before me - except I have added a lot of Rice to my mods

I know your pain Stephen - I have had my baby for 10 months now, and I keep wanting to do more...but the wife has run out of patience with my modding....so I guess after a few more goodies by Roger at HorsePower Sales...I'll have to stop and just enjoy the car....

I won't be able to, Glenn. I will have to gently break in the new gears for 500 miles. So no hard starts, burnouts etc. until they are seasoned in.

Ask Chris about that!

He had his Z06 at Englishtown Saturday. And I could be mistaken, bnut I believe it had about 250 miles on it. THEN Chris walked it down the Ľ mile at a 12.2..................

Maybe you'd stop by the track and just meet all the East Coast Supercharging Corvette Challenge racers. It's our last race of the season...... It would be cool to see you there...

Baby gears

Everyone also told me that a 234/240 598/608 114LSA cam was WAY too big for a automatic with tall 2.73:1 gears and stock TC.....

Guess what? That cam is WAY too small. I have a 242/248 610/615 114LSA bad boy that is going in very soon.... very soon...
