Default Is this normal? It could it cause problems later?

Last night I let a buddy drive, well he pulled a little close to a curb and of course there was a loud grinding noise. Well I checked underneath today to make sure there was no damage and noticed this. Is anyone elses underside look like the? Whats going on here? Could any problems occur from this?

Looks just like mine! Another option, A&A Frame Savers

Honestly though, I wouldn't worry about it.

Sure is a good argument for framesavers.

Looks like your friend wasn't the first to scrape it, but the skid bar is replaceable. And, as others mentioned, it's doing it's job.

I agree, however, since it's also the lower radiator support, if it's falling apart, it must be replaced. Another vote for framesavers.

I have only scraped mine twice. Both times I immediately cleaned the scratches and painted with black paint to prevent rust. You may want to scrape off the rust and paint with a small paint brush.

I guarantee you that your buddy did not do that in one curb incident. They have been on the curb many times. Framesavers!

Better for you to get the damage on those rather than the nose itself... like mine...:

Thanks for everyones intput. I guess I just wont really wory about it. It seems to still be structuraly stiff, I just did not like the way it looked. Where would I purchase a new one if I wanted to replace it???? Would it be hard to replace?
