I still don't know what system to buy. I have got a lot of good replys. Can someone tell me why the Corsa line of products seen's to cost more than the B&B's? I was looking at the Corsa Pace Car system with TigerShark tips and the B&B Bullets big difference in cost. Why?
Not sure, might be they think they have better build quality or maybe spend more on advertising. Have you ever heard the Ghl bullets?? Many quality brands out there, I know I've been very happy with the Ghl. Just another suggestion.
I had the Borla Stingers installed on mine today. I love them. Haven't turned the radio on since. Got a great deal at www.pfyc.com. shoot them e-mail from their website and see if they are still running their special. There are some sound clips here - http://video.search.yahoo.com/video/...e=6.3MB&dur=59
Try to find a local Vette club to listen to some in person first. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a few guys/gals to give you a ride so you can here them inside/outside of the car.

That's a big part of the expense, also they really have no resonance, versus some of the others that merely claim no resonance.
All of the top names like GHL, B&B, Borla, Magna Flow, make good products. They all have different characteristics, and everyone has a different opinion on what sounds good, and more importantly what noise levels and each will tolerate. I have Corsa Indy's and my friends always tell me how loud they are - I love them. I have a couple of other friends that have the B&B PRT's that sound very raspy and metallic to me. But they love them.
Market positioning... If you have a Brand name and you want people to believe it is the best then you have to price it the highest...
We all believe that you get what you pay for....SO if it is the highest priced... it must be the best....
The answer is the sum of
patents costs, manufacturing costs, marketing brand positioning strategy, advertising costs, middleman mark-up strategy, and corportate profit strategy
BB may be higher quality , superior products with a marketing strategy to grow market share . the fastest way to grow market share is to cut the price.....
Corsa as one of the market leaders may be targeting on a segment ( demographics) of people who want and can afford the best and therefore price accordingly..
The joke in the 80's-90's about IBM PC's was " You can buy better BUT you can't pay more" IBM as a market leader believed their "Brand" not the contents justified a price premium. This led to the upstarts of Dell and Gateway to enter the market and gorw very quickly.

Corsa Tigersharks are the most expensive tips for the Corsa exhaust. They were built to fit the Tigershark body package and command higher dollars. The B&B Bullets are basically straight pipes (resonators and no mufflers) and only have two tips. It costs less to build an exhaust with only 2 tips and no mufflers.
A better comparison would be the B&B Route 66 with the quad round tips and the Corsa with the Pro tips. The difference is only $100 at West Coast Corvettes.
