Default The Grond Chronicles : Elite Engineering Strikes Again [Dialup - Take a Nap]

Huge kudos to Jeff of Elite Engineering ( www.eliteengineeringusa.com ) for delivering a class product at a low price without any Vette tax

UPDATE : Partial installation pictures at Post #51

So I've been working on this little unique mod for a few months now. Originally discussed the possibilities with Jeff of Elite Engineering back in early summer, at which time he sent me a "beta test" gas pedal unit that I have been using for the past few months.

That unit was the powder coated Candy Apple Red Gas Pedal, and we were testing it for wear and longevity (would the powder coating wear through to the aluminum, would it tarnish, would it discolour, etc.)

It has stood up to all abuse like a champ and still looks brand new after all these months!

When I went to Carlisle in August, I bought a spare brake pedal which I sent to Jeff to polish, prep and powder coat, along with his matching aluminum dead pedal. All in Candy Apple Red - this process and colour is an entirely unique mod!

It's all in keeping with my Sable and subtle touches of Crimson theme. Crimson Elite Engineering Tunnel Plate, Crimson DTE Transmission Brace and other crimson touches scattered around Grond - like Crimson Neon.

Here are the pics. They look a million times better in person.

It's freezing outside Chris. The Gas Pedal is already on the car and I'll install the brake and dead pedals tomorrow if I don't freeze to death

Very nice

I to would love to see the installed pics of the pedals

Can I ask about the tunnel plate; Did you notice any difference in the real world????? I put a heatmaster shield in the tunnel to keep heat out, and was also wondering if it trapped heat??

Last who makes them? I remember them coming out, but passed over the idea because I have a Z (FRC) and figured I didn't need any more stiffness or wieght, but now am reconsidering my thoughts

Elite Engineering - Forum Vendor. Talk to Jeff, he'll hook you up

I noticed a big difference when I installed my tunnel plate - car cornered flatter and felt integrated. I highly recommend it.

Very nice, it's the little mods that make a car unique. But in your case, might as well mod everything. Looks great.

Just trying to play catch up with GB Vette. If he would just stop modding for 3 or 4 years, I could almost get there
