Dimming Headlights...?

Dimming Headlights...?
Occasionally notice my headlights dim for about 1 second and then come back to full light. Almost like there's a heavy current draw switching on and off. Any Help?

Mine does something similar and may be the same as yours. The AIR system has a little air pump that forces air somewhere in the engine to reduce emmissions. It is off and on air pump located near the front of the car on the drivers side. I can hear mine going on/off at idle. My voltage drops about 1.5 volts and lights dim when it kicks on. Try to listen for the AIR system kicking in and out and see if that occurs at the same time you notice your lights dim

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll listen for the air pump thing. I thought it might be the A/C kicking on and off but my A/C light doesn't come on when it happens. I guess it's nothing to worry about.

Mine does it when the A/C comes on also.

Mine does the same thing too, also when the AC is turned on as well.
Sometimes will do it, when I switch from drive to reverse, or reverse to park, etc

Mine did this, I checked the battery terminals, one was loose, tighened it, no problem. If you can turn terminals by hand they are too loose.
Don't overtighen, it can cause battery to leak.
