UPF 46 oil filter
Recently the dealer changed my oil and fiter(freebie!). They used a UPF46 (or PF46). Is this the same or better than the UPF44?
Just want to make sure I have the correct filter. If not I'll be swapping it out...
Thanks in advance!

The UPF46 is not the same as the PF46. The UPF is the "Ultraguard" version and according to their filter box information, it is capable of trapping 98% of 8 to 10 micron particles. The "Conventional averge" filter can only trap 40% and the "Premium average" filter can only trap 72%. IF you can believe the claims on the box, this is the filter to use. If you buy them from GM parts direct they are approx $7 ea.
