Potentially expensive or a quick/easy fix? The led on my A/C panel is starting to dim out on me. I've thumped it and it got a little brighter but it's usually hit or miss. At times during the day I can't even see it. It's become quite a bit more dim than the radio led. What is a potential fix?

There was a guy on ebay that was doing the fix for something like $100. Otherwise it is a replace of the unit for closer to $300-$400. I had the same issue and was looking for a replacement, but gave up after awhile for "other ventures"..
good luck to you (and if I ever find a replacement for mine the old one is still yours gmethod)...
My A/C lights also went dim this week. Is it tough to remove the unit or do you know of a post with instructions? Any info would be helpful. This forum is amazing with all the information and great people sharing it!

Try Ken King's site. He has some great instructions for stripping down the console. Once you have it out the HVAC unit is easy to access.
