Just got my Z back from the body shop and they did a really poor job adjusting hood and headlights. I told them to fix it and I think they made it even worse. They told me that it was impossible to do...
There must surely be a way to make it work!
Do any of you guys have a nice guide to adjusting the body?
its not impossible to do. I would tell them that they are the body and thats what they get paid to do. Its part of the job. They cant just tell you that its impossible to get outta of doing their job. Its like telling your boss that you cant do the report because its impossible, your **** would be out on the street looking for a new job. Dont let them off that easily.
It may be impossible for them to do. I had a similar incident with a dealer in Atlanta. I just took a day and did it myself. I gave them 3 shots at it first. For what it's worth they couldn't even get the Z06 emblem in the right place on the driver's fender - I did that myself as well.
IF they say it is impossible that is fine. Tell them to take off or they own you labor for 60 per fender, 120 min, 60 min for the hood, 180 min and 2 hours for the nose, 300 min, and 45 min per head light. SO they own you 390 min of labor at lets say $80 / hour 6.5 hours or make it $540 back.
Thanks guys
Unfortunately I'm moving away from this place tomorrow, so I can't keep coming back here to complain.
I've got a long winter ahead, so I'd like to puzzle with it myself.
