What to look for in a used C5 !!!!!!!!!
Hi
I am sure that l will be picking up a C5 within a short amount of time but there are things that l might not know.
I am completely aware of the known (common ) problems of a C4. C3 but a C5 l am a novice.
I know the seats and tires are pricey and l'm sure of the weather stripping, but in your vast knowledge and travels what can l miss and where should l look?
I will be looking at 2000/2001 Auto's and only coupes. And the mileage will be below 35,000 miles for sure.
Where are the areas that l should check very closely. Are there sounds l should listen for or squeaks or anything to do with the tranny.
When is the major tune up, how many miles before replacing the brakes and rotors. General rule of thumb !
What ever you can pass on would be greatly appreciated.
I am all ears
Thanks
Alan

avoid the 01's or check to make sure they were re-ringed...if they're going to be lower milage like that and out of warrantee, you might want to avoid the 01's. They had an issue with certain 01's.

You got to be kidding me !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 96 LT1 that l am selling and the most amount of money l had to pay out was for normal maint and nothing else to speak of.
The seats were very comfortable with little if any wear. No mechanical issues what so ever.
What l have been reading l might hang myself for selling my C4. It doesn't leak, rattle, burn excess oil, nothing falls off.
It just runs.
Just tell me your pulling my leg !!!!!!!!!!!
