What sports car did you own before purchasing Vette?

1995 Nissan 240sx SE(not a real sport's car but it sure handled like one), and a 1990 Nissan 240sx XE Coupe with a 2.0litre turbo charged 4cyl(230rwhp on stock turbo). Gotta love the lack of turbo lag these V8's have.
My next project(since I'm keeping the Vette pretty much stock), is a 93' R1 RX7 and doing an LS1 w/ 6spd conversion. I'm an LS fan for life.

1963 Chevy SS Impala convertible, surfboard neatly tucked under back of the front seat, hanging over the back seat, couldn't drive down Mission Beach Blvd without a girl getting in. of course, they'd get in, look at me and get back out
1966 GTO, S. Cal. cool, but disappointing car
1970 GTO, very disappointing
1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spyder, fun and unique
1983 RX7 Limited Edition, neat for its time, but a snoozer
1986 Fiero GT, a blast, an outright blast, truly a mini-vette. Bring a tool kit. Still the most fun car I have ever owned
1995 Camaro Z28, bought an auto, my own fault, could only handle 6 months of it
1986 Porsche 944, a no go, a tight drive, very sporty, poorly engineered, 1930's cooling technology, sooooo many problems. German craftsmanship is usually outstanding, but I'm not a fan of their engineering. Take the toilet for example, a somewhat Siberian device. Picture this--has a platform in the bowl to catch....well you understand. Tank is 8 feet above the bowl. You pull this chain to release the water. It rushes at the bowl from 8 feet up! Time to run like hell.

'59 T-Bird; '68 T-Bird and a '67 Sunbeam Alpine with wire wheels and no heater! NONE of them hold a candle to the C5. I have never enjoyed a car so much in my entire life and look forward to getting into it and going for a spin...
Ever get out, walk away and then turn back and look at your vette and think to yourself, "Man, this is an awsome thing of beauty!!!" ? I sure have. Pretty often, too. Kinda borders on some kind of fetish, huh?

I had a new '68 Corvette and then a new '71. They had some quality problems back then so I went German - couple Mercedes and lots of BMW's - including two collector coupes - a 3.0 cs and an M6. Nice, but over rated I think.
My C5 makes me smile every time I drive it. No other car has done that.
I'm back to Chevy Power.
