Had mine fixed under GMPP Warranty about a year ago on my 02 Z with 13k miles. Only 4 weeks after i bought the car used from a Private Party. I did my first burn out in it, and the DIC lit up like a X-mas tree! It said," Check Active Handling, Check ABS, Check Traction Control." i was freakin'!!! Good thing i bought that warranty. 1 month in and it paid for itself.

I believe both those members had intermittent ABS/Traction codes being set. Where as mine are constant and cannot be reset (when you reset the code it instantly pops back up again) I believe this is a tell tale sign that its the EBCM and not something inter-related.

Total cost of bill was reduced to $2,400.00,GM covered half of the cost.My part of the cost was $1,200.00.Dealership said it was covered under the Good Will Policy. thru GM.

Thanks nuch.

This is just great - another impending failure added to the growing list: Column lock, fuel gauge, hazard switch, oil pressure sender, rocking seats, headlight gears, door lock & window modules....

What have I gotten myself into here? GM's flagship.... right?

add me in, jrc27 where did you get one for $277? Was it used?
It was new...i believe the big difference in price is due to the different model years

Active handling began problems at 75k miles. dealer was unable to locate problem. Going 60 mph on straight freeway with active handling suddenly engaging brakes caused me to get rid of 2001 Vette at 86k miles.

This was the worse Vette I ever owned. Way too many problems and poor GM attitude

I have had trouble codes popping up randomly - may lead to an EBCM issue - but for now, she has been OK for the last month (could have just been connectors)

BTW - what is goodwill policy?
