Mod Party: Crank Pulley from Grond Swapped and Pinned [Dialup; Negatory]
JeepTJ (Fred's) stock pulley was wobbling badly, so he decided to buy my ATI Superdamper crank pulley that was up for sale and have it pinned at the same time (just in case - for future mods )
So in the midst of my teardown, I agreed to sell my ATI pulley (off of Grond) to Fred and I volunteered to install and pin his crank for him. Stangkiller (Chris) came down and lent a much appreciated hand. Thanks Chris!
I underestimated how long it would take because I am so accostomed to working on Grond, (everything is usually already removed and out of the way plus I do not have stock suspension) that it took us 2 hours longer than I estimated - about 6 hours.
Got it all installed and Fred is now a happy camper.
So without further ado, here are the pics

Stangkiller coming over to help out. Thanks Chris!!
Let's get this bad boy jacked up and cooled down. Stangkiller (Chris) on the left, JeepTJ (Fred) on the right
Stock wobbly crank pulley
Demon rack out. I hate the location of the rack on the C5 !!!
ATI Superdamper and crank pinning tool
Drilling the crank to insert crank pin
Success! But is was a major PITA because the stock leaf spring was in the way. I have coilovers so I do not have this hinderance in the way. If this was a cam install, the crank could be pinned from above as everything would have been removed (water pump, fans, radiator etc.)
Getting it all bolted back together.
Done and dusted. ATI Superdamper that pulled 12 pounds of boost on Grond is now on JeepTJ's sweet Torch Red ride

Thanks Stephen, great job on the install. And Thanks to Chris, I think he did get a bit more dirty.
Drive home was fun too , just ask Chris,he was behind me, no wait in front of me.

Stephen, Fred, it really was no big deal at all! It was my pleasure!
Also, i don't know what happened, but i've never seen this much boost, i have to keep short shifting or letting out of it

I wish I lived near you guys. It seems like there is always something like this going on there. It must be a blast.

A few more pics.
At this point I am starting to get scared. You can see what is left of the Vette in garage.

Nice to see the PEOPLE
Hey guys - it is great to see YOU PEOPLE in these photos. Sad to say but I know what a C5 looks like (there's one sitting 10 feet behind me) so I appreciate the photos of Stephen, Chris and others. Kinda helps me feel like I know y'all a bit better.
Thanks!
Thanks!

This balancer swap looks like a lot more fun (and cheaper too) than mine was......
