Brave Soul you are, I hope I will be brave enough to tackle all the mods that I want to do with my 98 vert.... I've done a few and do not let anyone else work on my vehicle either.

Why be like the rest of the 300,000 other C5's out there? Why be a sheep and perhaps bling my car out from a catalogue, using no imagination, flair, or creativity? The old adage; "Friends don't let friends drive stock." I have never owned a stock car in my life.
Many people have asked me "Why?". "Why go to all the trouble?". "Why bother?"
I started out just changing the things I did not like about the car from the factory - the low engine power output, the horrible stereo sound, the comical ride height, the wallowing handling, the pathetic exhaust volume and frequency, the hateful DRLs, the visible lights....
And as I began to make changes, I saw many areas that I would like to "improve" either to my aesthetic taste (or lack of it) or for performance or for convenience.
A simple example is the HUD. I drive exclusively with the HUD - I only glance down at the Trans Temp on the DIC. I never use the analogue gauges; the EL gauge mod was purely for the "bling and wow" factor.
When I bought my Valentine 1, I also bought the V1 Remote at the same time.... but where to mount it? Right now, it is mounted in to the front of my Fuel gauge - not an ideal location because I have to glance down to see it. It just made logical sense (to me) to mount it in the HUD. And there are other things I want to project in the HUD.
Many have suggested that my so called "improvements" have "ruined the car". Whatever. My car, I will do what I like.
Grond is merely an expression of my personality, taken into a public arena. How far will I take this expression, who knows? Probably until I run out of money, which is not likely to happen for a while.
The journey IS the adventure, not the destination.

EG, I know I should keep up, but is there a separate thread regarding the V1 into HUD mod? And I assume you're not talking about just physically placing the remote display in the HUD projection well on the dash. Thanks.

And yes, the actual V1 Remote will be physically integrated into the HUD housing.

OK, so details are to follow. And I'm still unclear - is this getting the HUD to project the V1 remote's data display or is it just a physical mounting of the V1 remote in that area but not electronically "mated"?
