Only 40 lbs.

The one I really wanted is the Jackhammer - 22inch subwoofer, weighs 370 lbs, 2 feet tall, costs $8,000 and can handle 12,000 watts of power

600 Watts! In a Car?!?!? That's really insane. The audio spectrum covers about 20 - 20,000 Hz. So why do some people insist on Pounding the hell out of the first 200 Hz. When these guys drive down the road, all you hear is a loud "Boom Boom - Boom Boom". Where's the rest of the audio above 200 Hz?

My old system was built from MTX products. I still have a couple of their amps laying around here. Very nice stuff.

Depends on how you set it up. You'll hear the bass way before the rest. But inside the car it's a different story. Of course there is alot of people who do just want the bass.

EG,

Here is something to look at for some idea's.... This is my buddies truck, he is going away from his 6 12's, to 30 6.5's...... even has some NEON in there (fiber optics really)

600 watts.... C'mon, throw that thing some REAL power, and not from a california profile amp!

EG,

I'm afraid that magnet on the sub might lockup your differential!!!!!! Plus you are going to adjust those coil overs for the extra weight.
