I finally got some Head! [Caution: X-rated pictures within!]
only X-rated if you're a waxer
[Err I mean HEADS for my car that is.
Sorry guys I couldn't resist on the title.
I've been chasing down a random mis-fire for almost three years now. So, with my mother not being able to drive, this turned out to be a good time for me to take the vette off the road and try to figure out the problem. It turns out there was SEVERAL exhaust leaks near the O2 sensor. So, i'm assuming my sensor was getting wet when it rained, causing the car to read lean, thus dumping fuel, and fouling out plugs.
When i got the car in the air, i noticed the damage left behind from hitting an armadilo at 70mph.
My first step was to remove the exhaust and get it repaired, as well as add a new Wide Band Sensor <LC-1> Thanks ECS!
And again a HUGE thanks to Ben!

Since having the exhaust fixed, i figured now is a good time to add my own little bit of fiberglass <a bit different than EG's project though>
Say bye bye to the AIR tubes!
Manifold comes off pretty easy!
And finally the first head comes off!
My recently cleaned garage, getting all messed up again

I called it a night so i could go visit my mom, but we agreed it'd be better if i came tomorrow afternoon instead. So i'm bout to head back to the garage in a bit. to pull the otherside off. Clean up the car some, and then begin doing some wiring changes and such, with all the added room.
After the wiring is done, i plan to fiberglass wrap the headers slip the headers in, then install my new heads

Chris,
Your nuts... I would freak out if I saw my car in as many pieces as your is now... Although, I guess after seeing it with nothing underneath it, this is probably pretty tame...
Keep us posted...

Now the mustang people swear that that stuff will help rust out your headers because it keeps moisture against the metal of the header. I don't use it on my full length headers and they have been on for over 10 years with no issues. a bit rusty, yes, but no holes.
