Question? Rear wheel fender scoop on 98' C5
I saw a used 1998, C5 coupe the other day with scoops in front of the rear wheels. It was molded into the lower front of the rear fender, at the same location as the Z06s but it did not have the black frames as the Z06s, it was molded within the rear fender. Looked cool except many road miles had sand blasted the finish off the intake openings right down to the raw fiberglass. Was this a custom fender? Anybody familiar with this? Other than that the Vette looked stock.

Close but No Cigar
It looked similar except it was an intergal part of the lower fender/rock panel, not an add-on scoop. The bottom fin of the scoop is not as long as the BPP. The whole lower fender/rock panel skirt may have been an add-on? Maybe it had some custom work done to BPP so that there were no seams?? It sure looked stock. Thanks for the info.

Had to be a custom rocker panel - the only ones that came from GM were the black ones like on mine.
