actually if you have anything that will teach me about mods or my corvette or repair or ANYTHING. I know very very little about cars in general especially modding. So anything that would help would be great!

I don't believe there is a Haynes or Chilton manual for the C5's - and if there is, it's not detailed enough to be of any value
You need to get the 3 volume set of Helms manuals for your car - Helms covers EVERYTHING in GREAT DETAIL - will cost you $75.00 - 135.00, depending on what year you need. But if you are mechanically inclined and use it, it will save you MORE than that for your first do-it-yourself repair or troubleshooting.

I got the Techline SI Manuals from E Bay. It comes as a set of about 8 CDs. That said, people talk highly of the Helms Manuals.

The Helms manuals have a lot of data but it is very poorly organised. While working on item A, it will say to refer to item B. BUT NO PAGE REFERENCE! Then you get to hunt thru the index looking for it.
Eventually you will find it but it can be a royal pain.
That said, it has saved me multiple times its cost already.

Fichtner Chevy also sells the factory repair manuals for a decent price. MIght check with them. Personally, I got mine at Bloomington Gold from a vendor - like new condition and cost was very reasonable. They are a great asset to have in the garage.
