Believe it or not it was between a new Yellow fully loaded Sky or a used vette for me personally. I think we all know I made the right choice. but they are pretty nice for the 1st roadster made by saturn. It definitely has it's fair share of pros and cons..
I'm also laughing at people who bought a Solstice GXP for $40k plus. I'd just buy a new Corvette for that price! Most of them go for around $30k, which isnt that bad since its a bit of power to go along with a small package.
Have to admit though, even if it going to be used as a daily driver, I wouldnt want the standard package. Drove passenger in a Solstice and my friend floored it (after bragging about how quick it goes, like his mercedes wagon ). Have to say my old DD Pontiac sunfire is just as quick, and my Aztek (yes, Aztek) is faster - at least it feels faster.
If the Solstice/Sky were around the $16k - $17k mark for new, then I'd be out buying one. Right now, they're a small package with no room for anything, not practical for winter, and underpowered. I do like the look of them and the color choices, and I would pick a Solstice in Silver if I had my choice since they look kinda porchey (for lack of a better word).
The sky is on my christmas wish list .
would love to have the redline , but I would be happy without the turbo as well .
I will drive the Vette if I itch for power .
Positively a much nicer car than the solstice .
Funny that my local Saturn dealer is out of Skys but has a couple of used Soltices for sale .
