I recently put a set of 505As on my 01 Vert. While I had it up in the air I decided to put slotted/dimpled rotors on and had the calipers powder coated. I also lowered it about 3/4" on the stock bolts. It looks really nice now and I'm very pleased. Anyhoo, I made an appointment at a local chevy dealer to get an alignment ($49.95 ?!) and when I got there and the tech saw the wheels he said they couldn't do it because there are no lips on them to attach their equipment to. They reccomended a local shop where I was again unable to have an alignment because their machines wouldn't work either due to no lips/not enough wheelwell clearance.
Can anybody tell me if it can be done and what type of shop I should be looking for or will I need to put the stocks back on to have an alignment done.
The car drives fine (tracks straight) but I'm thinking there may be some tire wear issues due to the lower stance. Sorry for the long windedness and thanks in advance for any knowledge you may be able to share.
I can tell you that I have the 505a's on my 01 and I'm lowered and have aftermarket brakes and suspension. I have not had an alignment and my car tracks straight as well. and after 3 years with this set up 40k miles and a couple sets of tires...my tires have always worn even. Not saying you shouldnt do it, just telling yo umy experience

I have my '01 lowered all the way on stock bolts with the 505A's,
aftermarket rotors, and Bilstein shocks w/ Z06 sway bars, also changed bushings to poly's. Tires are wearing perfectly so far!
Thanks for the info! I'll keep an eye on the tread wear. And FYI, the second generation Goodyear runflats sure did improve the ride quality over the originals.
Go to a real alignment shop, not a tire store. They use pits and either go off studs or a sighting tool. I have CCWs and am lowered more than any ramp would allow. You can also get rid of that "runflat" OEM spec alignment and go Z06 for better cornering.
