Default installing an aftrmkt Auto shift ****

I found a "T" style automatic shift **** in ebay i like and was wondering how much of a pain it is to replace the stock shift **** with a new one.

It depends if you like working on your car or not. Its no pain if you like to work on it. Big pain if you don't like taking your demon key out

It's not all that easy when using this type of handle. What you see on that site is just to make a normal handle work. The T-hnadle does not have the right threads for our car. You need to re-tap the handle. Forum member FACE, I believe knows the size. I run the B&M T-handle with a built in line loc button. Love it, just had the shop that installed my roll bar, re-tap the handle for me.

I just completed the installation of an aftermarket shift **** in my automatic and the shifter in my '98 was not threaded. The stock **** was held on by a staple and the new one is a tight pressure fit with 3 set screws to sure it up.
