A while ago there was a post where someone said their engine would 'ping' if the stepped on it while on the expressway. My ears went up because I have heard mine do that as well. One response was, bad gas...stick with top tier.

Now I usually would buy gas at Mobil...always was under the impression that it was a quality gas. The only manufacturer on the Top Tier listing in my area is Shell. Yesterday I filled up with some Shell V-Power 93 Octane and waited for the ride home to test (after some city driving to get the new gas into the system). Sure enough, cruising at 70 and dropped the hammer...no other sound besides 350 cubic inches screaming to redline!

Shell for me from now on!
