Aluminum reacts (expands) rather well with heat, so I'm thinking this will work.
A (relatively) low temp like that won't affect it materially, and since it will be heated uniformally, shouldn't warp. It probably won't be hot enough to just drop it on, but if the pump shaft is at say a 40* ambient, it should make pressing it on significantly easier.
We did heat the hub on the stock pulley with a propane torch after busting off the plastic. It helped a great deal in removal....and no, I didn't mess up the seal.
As a mechanic, I'm familiar with shrink fits, and heat (steel) bearings and gears up all the time to install.
But, I'm not familiar enough with the aluminum properties to know the safe temp limit to do this.

And, yes...it's rather obvious which direction it goes on, since it has to line up with the idler pulley right next to it....if it were reversed, it would stick out way too far and not even be close to lining up once seated.

Looks good guys. Wish I could have helped out more but Uncle Sam said I had to go back to work.
EG - Are you going to take some video of it running so we can hear the finished product?
