Default Passenger Window Problem

Last night, I noticed that my passenger window will not go down. When you puch the button, you hear one click, but nothing happens. I checked for codes, and had 1 code for RDCM and 1 for LDCM. All the old threads I found had great information like "slam the door hard" and "hold the button down while beating the inside of the door". That crap didn't work. Any ideas?

Buy a new RDCM. Anywhere from $300 from dealer and an hour install or about $150 from a sponser here and install yourself. It just plugs in but you need to take door panel off.

Default As crazy as it sounds....

it happened to me for the second time, in 2 years, last week. For no reason the window froze up. So as I did last time, I turned the key on, held the window switch down and slammed the door shut about 4 times. It did not correct the problem at first, but when I went out about 2 hours later the window worked. Crazy I know, but I was told that if you put the window up and hold the switch down to long, the motor tends to freeze up. Good luck

I'm not trying to be funny, but slam it harder. I had the same problem in my 2000 coupe. I finally had to get the motor replaced by the dealer under my extended warranty.

Drive on!

If slamming doesn't work, gently pry up the window switch (lift the front first). When you look in the opening, you will see the end of the screw that holds the motor in place. Take the butt end of a long screwdriver and tap on the end of the screw while holding the switch. That will do it, but eventually you'll have to replace the window regulator ($300)

My 2000 has been on and off with this problem. I did the punch to the door and all was fine for about a week. I drove the car yesterday and tried the window. It went down but not all the way back up. I punched it, slammed the door, took off the panel and tapped on the motor etc. etc. with nothing . Dealer wants $350 for the part, any suggestions on where to buy it cheaper? Thanks

The clicking is a sign that the motor is bad. That's what I was told by my local dealer.
