Do all C5s have three udders on the driver's side? I found two no problem, but can't see/feel a third.
TIA

Thge "udders" are not unique to just the C5. My wife's 2000 Monte Carlo has them also for the same reasons. And they are both a pain to get at. So if you own any newer GM cars I suggest you look and find them. I'm sure they are just as dirty. I noticed on the Monte that the end was almost stuck together so water wasn't draining very well. I put a touch of dielectric grease in it near the tip. No more problems.

If all 3 on your Vette are clean. You need to drive it more often!

Had the hood open today and remembered the utters, got to two of them from the top...just dried up leaves. Will have to rethink my approach for the 3rd one and then tackle the passenger side.

We really got to find another name for these things. Between an incident where my wife was helping me work on an electrical problem by sitting in the car and reading the driver information center readout and me asking what my DIC said when I tried something and then telling her one day when she asked what I was doing that I was cleaning my udders, she thinks I'm a pervert.

Better not mention your potential "leaky rear end" issue...

Thanks very much for the link and picture of the utters, now I know why they call them utters.
I will take a look and clean them, again thanks very much, Ants

Just went out and checked mine. All 3 stopped up with leaves. I think there is one on the passengers side. Need to study up on how to get to it.

I just found out, Gotta remove the battery to get to it. Well, maybe tomorrow ;-)

So, after the sleet, ice, etc. melted into my wiper motor area, the wipers no longer worked. I found a thread on here about it, but it was too late. My utters were full of dirt. This will cost you $379.84 or around there if it happens to your car. That price included the parts and work. Check your utters.

I removed the passenger udder and then put it back, but hard to see from the top whether I routed it correctly. There are no kinks or anything but I want to make sure it's draining water to the right place. Is it pretty foolproof to reinstall with the correct positioning?

I had a wet passenger floorboard from the rain, so I cleaned all 4 udders, but only 2 of the driver's side udders actually had debris in them. The passenger one was completely clean. Could a clogged driver's udder cause a wet passenger floorboard, or is my problem elsewhere?

Lastly, is there a way to wrap/seal the BCM in some sort of plastic or something as a preventive measure?

I try cleaning the third udder and the wire sensor thingy on the windshield wiper fluid disconnected, and fluid was gushing out... I managed to put it back in, but dang it is a pain in the rear to access the third one

I guess that foam cover I installed on the cowl does work.
I just got my foam cover installed as well, I wonder if the foam cover also protects the other udder on the passenger side, just behind the battery?

You don't really need to remove the driver's side udders as you should be able to reach underneath and use your fingers to remove any debris. The only way I can describe it is pretty x-rated so make sure you send your C5 some flowers the next day.

As to the passenger side, I just installed a new battery, so while it was out, I decided to remove the longer passenger side udder and clean it out. After removing it, I was surprised that after close to 20 years of ownership, there was nothing, nada inside. Here's a pic of my 20 year old udder removed for a visual.
