Which mirror do you have? The electrochromatic or standard. Which LED are you refering to? The yellow one that points at the shifter?
The electrochromatic mirror has 12 LEDs that are used for the map/dome lights. These can be replaced with brighter ones.
There are several threads on doing this.

yea, you can do a std. mirror, just find you a pair of led festoon bulbs. i believe there 44mm bulbs. i did mine and love it. i believe i used 10 led festoon bulbs. they can be found on that auction site, just type in "led festoon bulbs" o- yea......... you can also do all the lights under the dash that light the floor if you get, bulb number: "194 led" bulbs. i think i got 10 of them for $8
