The turn signal lamp is a dual filament bulb which gives you 3 functions; turn signals, DRLs and parking lights.

There are 3 wires running to the bulbholder:

a blue/white wire which is the hot wire for the turn signal filament
a brown wire which is the hot wire for the parking light filament
a black wire which is the common ground.

The DRLs use the same circuits. As an aside I had to modify my Vert to comply with UK regs. This involved snipping the brown wire and installing a parallel white bulb holder which fits into my T85 Euro headlights. That means the parking lights only show white. Even with this mod the DRLs still work unless you pull the fuse or do the relay mod. To that end DRLs can use both sides of the crcuit.

You need a tap into the blue/white wire and the black ground running in parallel to the existing wiring. Easiest place to get at it is near to the bulbholder itself. Normally I'd say going in from the top but it'll be almost impossible to get to the bulb with the headlights fitted. You may want to take out the bottom panel and access it from below.

Of interest, here's a mod that a UK Member (Kenski) had done to fit T/S lamps into the side gills:

Don't think so Paul. The wires quickly enter a wiring loom and disappear back into the engine area presumably through the bulkhead to the PCM/BCM. I tapped my side repeaters in the same area which sounds similar to what you're trying to do. My advice would be to tap in at the bulb holder.

Light Blu/Wht for the left front and dark blu/wht for the right front.

PM Me with your E Mail address and I'll send a wiring diagram.

I have a 2010 grand sport. I believe the color codes for the wires are the same. Can anyone confirm this?

I only go up to 2009 but it shows the same colors. Not the kind of thing that gets changed during a model run by GM.

For the C5 and probably the C6 also, there is an access panel under each side you can remove.
