I have had my car a few months and I'm looking for Corvette owners in the Katy area that would like to get together every once in a while and talk cars. I know membership fees are needed for other clubs, but I'm not interested in paying money to hang out with people.

It never fails that as soon as I wash the cars, it rains like crazy...Anyways, I hope this mess clears up by Wednesday, my Bullets are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow!!

So far I have 7 people interested here at work and I know there are more . Sounds like we can get a decent group together from the get go. I will look into different locations for places to meet. If you have any suggestions or ideas just e-mail or pm me. I will see what we can do after the first of the year.

WOW....7 people at your work drive corvettes?? There are a TON of people that work in my building, but I dont think I see more than 2 or 3 vettes in the garage...and thats counting mine.

Anyways, sure cgmoose, I would love to hear the difference as well. I had narrowed it down to the Bullets vs the Stingers anyways..who knows, I might end up selling the bullets and going with the stingers after all...hahaha!

Good to see some Corvette enthusiasts in the Katy area wanting to hang out. I read all the posts and understand your concern about having to pay to hang out with people that are interested in the same thing that you are. That is not what Velocity Corvette Club is about. We do have paying members that enjoy the benefits of membership that VCC offers such as:
- A dedicated shop location that is outfitted with a lift and tools where members can work on their Vette on the weekend.
- Discounts on parts and merchandise
- A detail center where you can wash your car and utilize Adam's Polish products for no charge

These are just a few things that VCC offers.

We also have individuals that like to hang out and talk shop or meet up with us and have a good time. The point is if you enjoy Corvettes you are in good company with us. Anyone is welcome to swing by and check out the VCC shop/clubhouse and see for yourself. Let me know if you guys get something together and I would like to come hang out. I think I have enough interest to make this happen. I have a couple of places in mind. I will check them out over the holiday to see what the businesses can do for us. I will let everyone know right after X-mas what I come up with. Right now I am waiting for the big fat man in the red suit to bring me my Halos.
