You have bone stock in parenthesis, I don't think you have a bone stock cam in your lawnmower. This thing will have some "hula" will it not?"
242/248 610/615 on a 114LSA ... Should have a “bone stock” idle….

Nice looking components you gathered there. Looking forward to more progress reports.

... but it's so much fun to watch!

This may be an already/oft answered question, but do you have specific reasons why you started with an LS2?

Woohoo! The next part of the rebuild is here! Man, I've been dying with anticipation!

Question, Stephen: Were there any weight considerations when choosing the parts for this engine? You have spoken many times about your desire for this to be a road-raceable car, and we know those usually go for weight-saving parts. I know the two batteries and the subwoofer add considerable weight, but was that a factor in choosing the parts for the engine?

Again, way cool, and glad to see the next installment! And I'm still in awe!

Stephen doesn't own a lawnmower. And it's probably a good thing.

Best bang for the buck, by far.

What are the other choices? C5R? - Too expensive. Warhawk? - Too expensive. L92? - Needs too many speciality parts (intake etc.) LS1/6 346ci?- Not enough cubes. Iron block?- Way too heavy.

That leaves the LS2.

If I wanted to cut weight in Grond, I should lose weight first

Whats the valvetrain in the heads, ported or modded at all or plans to be? What oiling system you planning on running, adding a masterlube or accu-sump?

What pistons you planning on? Compression?
