Dang Stephen... I guess Gary is one of those "loosers" who just buys a shortblock, slaps on some heads, and call it a day
Gary when we're all back in town we'll git r done.
Stephen... this should be a good thread. But I'll bet a beer that Grod doesn't make it to the CI

Why? Why rely on what someone else thinks is the correct parts, correct end play, correct clearances and correct system?
It's like buying a pre-built Personal Computer - it will never have the components I want and built the way I need it built.

them some nice parts,,,,,,wow
this is going to be nice
My friend,,,,Earl Gearte , of sprint car engine fame once told me...
that you can buy the parts, but I know the tricks to make them work as one. There are some things that great engine builders just dont like to let out. if it was easy to assemble a high rpm motor that lasts for many races he would be out of business.
I know EG will take his time and get it right.....EG,,dont hurry on ANYTHING in that motor....

Stephen,
As usual, very entertaining and educational.
Was wondering why you did not go with L92 heads. I hear the flow rates on those things is unbelievable.
Can't wait until the next installment.

Buy a pre-built shortblock from a reputable Tuner or from TSP or SDPC.

What's the price difference between the Eagle and Lunati or Callies? We cracked one in a race car after only about 150 1/8 mile runs running less horsepower than what you are looking at. If at all possible I would go with the Lunati.
