Default Sound Deadning a C5 with eDead (Dialup; Heart Attack)

I did this mod a couple of weeks ago. I got a few PMs about it so I thought I would make a quick post.

Had to get Grond a lot higher in the air

To do all the work underneath it. This pic is from the back, looking forward down the empty tunnel

These burn marks are from welding the roll cage

Now you can see why I removed my gas tanks before welding in my cage

Hit it with a quick rattle can

And eDead v1SE all surfaces. This shot is looking up into the gas tank location.

More eDead v1SE

And more rattle can

OK. Time to break out the heavy guns. eDead v3 Liquid

Good stuff. Looks and feels like soft concrete

Time to eDead v3 the entire bottom of Grond.

And the rear quarter panels

I HATE rattles!!!! And with that massive 18inch sub, I'm not taking any chances.

I had a nasty vibration from the gas tank filler area with my old 12inch sub

Not this time. Even eDead v1SE the front & rear bumpers (with rattle can afterwards)

Hit the front too

And above the front fenders

And underneath the windshield washer tank and coolant tank

Added additional v1SE on top of v3 after it cured.

Did the entire interior a few months ago

Intense! How much weight would you estimate all of that did?

No idea - but really heavy!

I bought 150sq ft of eDead v1SE and 2 gallons of v3 liquid and used it all. I need to buy another 50sq ft to finish the inside of the body panels.

Stephen... w/ the stuff in sheet form, is it not important to cover the whole surface? It looks like you just put a square piece on each panel.

Not like addidng frost king etc to the inside where you do it all.

Stephen; how long should you wait (using the liquid product) for it to set/cure ?

Brian, I did this to stop panel vibration, not road/tyre/exhaust noise.

When I did the Frost King mod 2 years ago, I did that for noise reduction and it worked great for that, but not to stop panel vibration. Now I am looking strictly to stop vibrations.

Tim, in 78 degree temps, it took almost 7 hours to fully cure. But I put down thick coats, instead of building up with a lot of thin coats.

Hey Stephen want to do my Vette next FYI ECS is building me a forged 346 and I'm going with a charger I was going to do twin turbos but there is a back order of about 2 months now. I talked with Doug and he mention a supercharger is much easier to manage the boost over a turbo so I'm going that route. I'm looking at early to mid Feb for completion. Dude I can't wait

Come down to Cruise In 8 in May, Barry, with Ike, Roger, Frank and crew. It will be a blast with all of us driving heavily modded cars

Man, that's awesome, but I bet you're encroaching into f-Body weight territory now.

Probaby, I'm sure my car is way up there now

But I also got rid of a whole bunch of other junk that everyone else have on their cars. To wit; stock leaf springs, stock shocks, AIR pump, EVAP system, cats, stock manifolds, stock exhaust, rear carpeting, carpet padding, runcraps and so on.
