I've been trying to get my neighbor to sell me his Vette for 2 years Now. He has had it since college (he went to college in the 70s) and is going to restore it someday. Yeah Right.
Phone Camera sorry for the quality but I don't think there are enough mega-pixels made to make this look good.

This is a crying shame for sure.
thers a 65 near my house same way, shes 55ish single and claims shes going to fix it herself. been parked for roughly ten years shame
That is a shame.
I know a guy a few blocks from my hose that has a '60 vette sitting in peices in the gargae behind his house. Engine out of it with plywood and boxes sitting all around and in it. Makes me want to just go slap the sh it out of him. Been that way for atleast 10 years that I know of.
My wife has a cousin living in Tucson, who supposedly has a Vette sitting in her garage for over 25 years. Went over there one day, and there it was... a complete 1962 Feulie, sitting on 4 flat tires, covered in boxes and junk!!! Been trying to get my hands on it for 5 years now!!

Ain't that the truth. A lot of these poeple with a neglected/abused midyear seem to think that they're sitting on a pot of gold, regardless of whether they have the time and cash to ever restore it to the condition where it might actually be worth something.
