All because I made the fatal mistake of saying the following in that thread :

UPDATE
The original idea for support brackets were sub-standard and unworkable. Thought of a much better way to mount them.
Started by bending the factory tabs
And fabbing up the supports this way...
Installed the AN fittings
And created a template for drilling into my rear frame/bumper
Drilled out the necessary holes
As usual, I make this look a LOT easier than it actually is.
This is the final mounting assembly
Mounted the drivers side
Oh yeah

Offered up the rear fascia to check for clearance
Looks great
On the passenger side, the wire tabs need to be removed
And I notched my rear bumper
I could have probably just moved this cooler up by 1.5 inches to avoid notching the bumper
But then, it wouldn't look symmetrical (yes, that's important to me even though no one will ever see them)
Nicely isolated from vibrations
And the hardest part of this install - getting my hand in the bumper to tighten the bolts before the Red Locktite dries
But the results are worth the pain
Used the Koul Tool and installed the first of the braided lines
To be continued...

OMG!
It's amazing what you get done on a weekend! I know, there are shops that do this on a daily basis, but hey, this is just a "hobby" (read: addiction) for EG!
Great stuff - keep aiming for that goal!

Yes, there are shops that "do this on a daily basis"... but the vast majority just install the usual mods in the usual places with little imagination or creativity. It's a job and is treated as such. Too much commercial risk to do anything out of the ordinary - and that mindset is completely understandable from a business point of view...
I love doing this stuff. Even if I was doing it for a living (I am not), I would still love it. But it must be different, challenging, exciting - not the same old boring mods.
I just like doing "cool stuff". My new stereo, as one example, will be "interesting"
So stay tuned for a *LOT* more "cool stuff" coming to the Corvette Forum soon....

Your heat exchangers don't seem to be attached to the car other than the bolts through the bumper. It seems like they need to be supported at the top so you don't get unwanted wobble forward and back. I may be mistaken and I just can't see how it's braced.
Also wondering why you have to have the aluminum AN Wrenches? Are the AN fittings not a standard (metric or SAE) size? Are you worried about marring the aluminum? Or do you like having the "right" tool for the job. I personally have that problem.
Nice work by the way.

ps: I'm back from my Florida trip - didn't hook up w/ Stangkiller, or anyone else, but had a blast nonetheless.
