After a loooooong hiatus, I worked on Grond yesterday. Installed the custom shortened lower radiator support, ECS intercooler and Tial BOV, installed the new alternator, ECS tensioner and 8 rib belt and started it.

But now I have 2 engine jobs that started today - so it's back to the freezer for Grond for now.

But check back towards the end of summer - a good friend said that he would help me finally finish this massive project.

and? any updates?

I remember perusing this as a soph in college, now im graduated and working and i see she still isnt done.
So much for making that cruise in with the car O.o

I reaaaaally like the carputer you made up. It looks like mac may be better way to go. I looked into windows but half of the widgets crash on it, never mind that itll probably bluescreen everytime theres an important turn up ahead...

But this might be 2009 or 2010.

I can say that I did see Grond fire-up and driving just two weeks ago. The sound was more wicked then any Vette I have ever heard. And all the body panels were on too, well kinda. Most just temp to get Grond out to Houston.

It is driving at last Fred. And I haven't removed the body panels since it got to Houston

We're in the middle of a major upgrade to Cajundude's twin turbo Coupe and then we are going to tackle Grond (finally!)

I am from NICO club. One of our members is a corvette guy and linked us to this series of threads back when part two was new. I was intrigued, and have followed (albeit lamely) since.

Just wondering if there are any updates?

There will be an update in the next month or so. I've been busy, sorry.

This is what Grond looks like these days... (pic taken 1 week ago at our Grand Opening event in Houston Texas)

Yes, it is driveable, although I do not drive it much these days.

It's a Momo wheel with a billet aluminium hub
