Any problem with a 275/40/18 tire on a 18X9.5 rim?

Nope! That's the stock C5 size for the rear.

Optimally - you should have a minimum of a 10" wide wheel for this size. I don't think it will create any major problems - you should be okay.
This was the OEM size for the C5 Z06 - and they came equipped with 17x9.5 in front and an 18x10.5 in back.
