I looked at these a year ago but never acted. I couldn't let any more time pass and I recommend others get off the fence.

sweet! Thanks excellent. If you could put up your confirmation number that would be great. It would help Tim in tracking everybody as it would seem that speedhut is off their numbers right now by 1.

How we looking Tim? We down to 9 now?

The site shows we have 10 pre-orders confirmed, 10 more to go according to their site, 9 according to us... I'll straighten it out with them Monday morning!

Heck, I might order another one because I can't make up my damn mind now!!!!! I can always sell the one I don't really like later!

Jeff made an escellent observation in that I am keeping track of everyones order confirmation number and Forum name, I have a feeling that with so many options there's going to be a ton of EMails flying at me when these go into production!

I put the speedhut reverse EL faces in my Dakota with the "upgraded" inverter. While they look great in the daytime, the illumination is no where near as bright as stock and the inverter has a high pitched whine that drives me crazy (loud enough to hear even with the stereo on at low volumes). I sent speedhut two emails on the inverter whine and reduced brightness and they never did email me back. I had a cheap ebay kit in my Trans Am that was way quieter.

Despite looking so much better, I would never put one of their kits in my vette unless the inverter was quieter. The less illumination I can live with.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this with their speedhut kits, but I'm a bit choked they wouldn't even respond to me. The least they could have done was offered to swap out the inverter in case it was an abnormally loud one.

It may be something you want to ask them about. I guess the one nice thing is that the whine ensures I never forget to shut my lights off when I leave the vehicle!

I don't want to slow down this group buy, I just wanted to let everyone know my experience. Hopefully mine was either an abnormally loud inverter or they have since changed their design.

I'll check to see if they'll make it for you, the 300 KpH is already set.

Well this is the first negative thing I've heard on any of Speedhut's products.

We're going to see how responsive they are to me! PM me your name and address and the details of your gauge set and when I call them tomorrow I'm going to see what they're going to do about getting you fixed up! It sounds like the inverter is screwed up hence the noise and dimmness...

They advertise a lifetime warranty, we'll see about that!

Are they going to sell them themselves? If they are looking for a vendor I am game.

Yeah I think I'm going to have to order another one as well, I can't make up my mind between Black or White!!!!!! I'll just sell the other after I settle on one...

Let me know if you have trouble pre-ordering two of them...

My pleasure, thank you for getting it started in the first place. It looks like we are more than half way to the minimum order.

Yep more then halfway WITH a possible distributor to boot! Johnanthan and I are going to call Speedhut in a conference call to see about him becoming the distributor for the C5 faceplates, if that goes well they begin production immediatly!
