Default Replacing Daytime Running Lights

Was wondering if anybody had written instructions on how to go about replacing the Daytime Running Lights. My right light is probably burned out (when I use the right turn signal, it flickers quicker than normal, built-in mechanism to alert the driver about a burnt out bulb?)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

there are a few options

1) there is a panel on the underside of the fender, just forward of the front wheels that can be removed (5 or 6 screws), giving you access to reach in and change the bulb.

2) You can raise the headlights and remove the shroud - if you have skinny arms you can reach down the gap and change the bulb.

3) you can remove the brake duct from the forward side of the front wheels and reach in that way.

Awesome, just in time. My right DRL went out today and I was about to ask if there was an easy way to change the darn thing. THANKS

It might vary by year, but the brake duct approach didn't work at all for me. Couldn't even get my hand into it, much less manipulate the bulb holder. My skinny 14 year old daughter could get her hand through, but couldn't get a grip on the bulb holder. Putting it on the Rhino Ramps and pulling that access panel was pretty painless, and would have saved me time overall, given the futility of trying to reach the bulb the other way.

Car is a 1999 coupe. Like I said, maybe others have larger brake duct cutouts...

Oops - the first post is talking about pulling the duct all the way out and coming in from the back. Might work that way. The first How-To that I read on this talked about just moving it aside and reaching through the bumper cutout.

The one that works for me is:

Turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights.
Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it. Change the bulb. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.

Some guys with big arms remove the hood adjusting screw for better access

10 minute job.

The bulb is a 4157NA
